The GHS is a system for standardizing and harmonizing the classification and labelling of chemicals. Chemicals are associated with codes that define their health, physical and environmental hazards.This universal hazard communication system was developed to ensure that employers, employees and consumers are provided with adequate, practical, reliable and comprehensible information on the hazards of chemicals, so that they can take effective preventive and protective measure for their own health and safety.
  The GHS classifications for chemicals associated with products in this database may be viewed by selecting the "Advanced" button on the Chemical Ingredients tables. Since this is a work in progress, GHS classifications may not be shown for all chemical ingredients.

  SVHC is a substance (identified by the European Chemicals Agency) that may have serious and often irreversible effects on human health and the environment. SVHC are defined in Article 57 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (“the REACH Regulation”) and include substances which are:
  1.  Carcinogenic, Mutagenic or toxic to Reproduction (CMR), meeting the criteria for classification in category 1 or 2 in accordance with Directive 67/548/EEC or in category 1a or 1b in accordance with EC No 1272/2008This directive was recently replaced by the new EU regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
  2.  Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic (PBT) or very Persistent and very Bioaccumulative (vPvB) according to the criteria in Annex XIII of the REACH Regulation, or

      PAKMIX Post Mix contains Portland cement. As with any cement materials, direct contact may irritate eyes and skin. Wear protective clothing, gloves and eye protection when using the product. If any material gets into the eyes, rinse immediately and contact a physician. Wash exposed skin areas promptly with water. Do not take internally. Warning Inhalation Hazard: Avoid inhalation of dust from this product, which contains crystalline silica that causes lung disease and cancer. Use with mechanical ventilation or respiratory protection (dust mask). Keep Out of Reach of Children.

      From MSDS Store material on pallets in a dry location. Avoid contact with eyes or skin. Avoid prolonged contact between skin surfaces and wet or moist Portland cement. Skin areas that have been in contact with wet or moist Portland cement should be washed thoroughly with soap and water.

    • Disposal information

      From MSDS Preferred procedure is to vacuum material. Otherwise, spray with water and clean up with broom and shovel. Dispose of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

    • First Aid

      From MSDS Inhalation: Move to fresh air. If cough, irritation, difficulty in breathing persist or develop, call a physician. Skin Contact: Do not rub skin. Rinse skin free of material with water to avoid abrasion of skin. Wash thoroughly with soap and water. Ingestion: Administer milk or water. DO NOT induce vomiting. Call a physician or Poison Control Center immediately. DO NOT give anything orally to an unconscious person. Eye Contact: Do not rub eyes. Flush with water for 15 minutes. Call a physician.
