Chemical Composition/Ingredients
The GHS is an acronym for The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals. The GHS is a system for standardizing and harmonizing the classification and labelling of chemicals. Chemicals are associated with codes that define their health, physical and environmental hazards. This universal hazard communication system was developed to ensure that employers, employees and consumers are provided with adequate, practical, reliable and comprehensible information on the hazards of chemicals, so that they can take effective preventive and protective measure for their own health and safety.
Advanced
The GHS classifications for chemicals associated with products in this database may be viewed by selecting the "Advanced" button on the Chemical Ingredients tables. Since this is a work in progress, GHS classifications may not be shown for all chemical ingredients.-

Primary Chemical Name is the standard name assigned to a chemical substance.
ChemicalChemical Abstracts Service Registry Number is a unique identifier for a chemical and its synonyms. CAS numbers identify the chemical, but not its concentration or specific mixture. CAS Registry Numbers are assigned by the Chemical Abstracts Service, a division of the American Chemical Society. For more information: www.cas.org
CAS No./ID
We have assigned "ID numbers" (with 6 leading zeros or nines, e.g., 000000-xx-x , 888888-xx-x) or 999999-xx-x) for blends and chemicals that do not have CAS numbers. Is a seven-digit number (xxx-xxx-x) assigned by the European Commission to chemicals contained in three inventories:
EC No.
EINECS is the European Inventory of Existing Commercial Substances and its EINECS numbers are displayed as 2xx-xxx-x.
ELINCS is the European List of Notified Chemical Substances that was available after September 18, 1981 and its ELINCS numbers are displayed as 4xx-xxx-x.
NLP is the No-Longer Polymers category and its NLP numbers are displayed as 5xx-xxx-xPercent of chemical in preparation.

Since this is a work in progress, GHS classifications may not be shown for all chemical ingredients.Hazard Codes and their associated descriptions are an essential part of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). There are 4 categories of Hazard Codes:
- Physical Hazard Codes (H200 series)
- Health Hazard Codes (H300 series)
- Environmental Hazard Codes (H400 series)
- Supplementary Hazard Codes (EUH series)
Hazard Codes may be found in the "Advanced" version of Chemical Composition / Ingredients tables.

Precautionary Codes may be found in the "Advanced" version of Chemical Composition / Ingredients tables.PictogramSVHC is a substance (identified by the European Chemicals Agency) that may have serious and often irreversible effects on human health and the environment. SVHC are defined in Article 57 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (“the REACH Regulation”) and include substances which are:
SVHC?
1. Carcinogenic, Mutagenic or toxic to Reproduction (CMR), meeting the criteria for classification in category 1 or 2 in accordance with Directive 67/548/EEC or in category 1a or 1b in accordance with EC No 1272/2008This directive was recently replaced by the new EU regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
2. Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic (PBT) or very Persistent and very Bioaccumulative (vPvB) according to the criteria in Annex XIII of the REACH Regulation, or
3. Identified, on a case-by-case basis, from scientific evidence as causing probable serious effects to human health or the environment of an equivalent level of concern as those above (e.g. endocrine disrupters).Trade secret or proprietary formula 000000-02-1 -- -- -------- ------- ---- No Ethylene glycol 000107-21-1 203-473-3 1.0-5.0 H302, H373 ------- No Water 007732-18-5 231-791-2 -- -------- ------- ---- No Titanium dioxide 013463-67-7 236-675-5 5.0-10.0 -------- ------- ---- No Quartz 014808-60-7 238-878-4 1.0-5.0 -------- ------- ---- No Click on each chemical for information on chemical structure, properties and health effects.

Warnings
CAUTIONS:
CONTAINS CRYSTALLINE SILICA
May cause eye and skin irritation. Avoid breathing vapors, spray mist or sanding dust. If painting indoors, open windows and doors or use other means to ensure fresh air entry during application and drying. If you experience eye watering, headaches or dizziness, increase fresh air or wear respiratory protection (NIOSH/MSHA TC23C or equivalent) or leave the area. When sanding wear a dust mask. AVOID CONTACT WITH THE EYES AND SKIN. Wash thoroughly after use. Close container after each use. WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer.
Delayed effect from long term exposure: Crystalline silica may cause lung damage and cancer. Risk depends upon duration and level of exposure to sanding dust.
DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
For additional safety and chronic health hazard information, refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet for this product.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL TELEPHONE: 1-888-345-5732
WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. Before you start, find out how to protect yourself and your family by contacting the National Lead Information Hotline at 1-800-424-LEAD -
Acute health effects
From MSDS
HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Primary Routes of Exposure: Inhalation; Ingestion; Skin absorption
Eye Contact: May cause eye irritation
Skin Contact: Causes mild skin irritation.
Ingestion: Irritation of the mouth, throat, and stomach. Harmful if swallowed.
Inhalation: Causes respiratory tract irritation. Harmful by inhalation. -
Chronic health effects
From MSDS:
This product contains ingredients that may contribute to the following potential chronic health effects: Overexposure may cause nervous system damage. Prolonged exposure to respirable crystalline quartz silica may cause delayed chronic injury (silicosis). -
Carcinogenicity
May cause birth defects.
Possible cancer hazard. Contains material which may cause cancer based on animal data. Cancer hazard. Contains material which can cause cancer.
Contains TIO2 which is listed by IARC as a possible human carcinogen (Group 2B) based on animal data. Neither long term animal studies, nor human epidemiology studies of workers exposed to TIO2 provide an adequate basis to conclude TIO2 is carcinogenic. TIO2 is not classified as a carcinogen by NTP, U.S. OSHA, or the U.S. EPA. Contains crystaline silica. The IARC has determined that crystaline silica inhaled in the form of quartz or cristobablite from occupational sources is carcinogenic to humans (group 1). Refer to IARC monograph 68 in conjunction with the use of these materials. Risk of cancer depends on the duration and level of exposure. In coatings products, risk is due primarily to inhalation of sanding dusts or respirable particles in spray mists. The NTP has also determined that crystaline silica is a known human carcinogen in the form of fine, breathable particles. Risk of cancer depends on duration and level of exposure in coatings products, risk is due primarily to inhalation of sanding dust or respirable particles in spray mist. -
