Chemical Composition/Ingredients
The GHS is an acronym for The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals. The GHS is a system for standardizing and harmonizing the classification and labelling of chemicals. Chemicals are associated with codes that define their health, physical and environmental hazards. This universal hazard communication system was developed to ensure that employers, employees and consumers are provided with adequate, practical, reliable and comprehensible information on the hazards of chemicals, so that they can take effective preventive and protective measure for their own health and safety.
Advanced
The GHS classifications for chemicals associated with products in this database may be viewed by selecting the "Advanced" button on the Chemical Ingredients tables. Since this is a work in progress, GHS classifications may not be shown for all chemical ingredients.-
Primary Chemical Name is the standard name assigned to a chemical substance.
ChemicalChemical Abstracts Service Registry Number is a unique identifier for a chemical and its synonyms. CAS numbers identify the chemical, but not its concentration or specific mixture. CAS Registry Numbers are assigned by the Chemical Abstracts Service, a division of the American Chemical Society. For more information: www.cas.org

Hazard Codes and their associated descriptions are an essential part of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). There are 4 categories of Hazard Codes:
- Physical Hazard Codes (H200 series)
- Health Hazard Codes (H300 series)
- Environmental Hazard Codes (H400 series)
- Supplementary Hazard Codes (EUH series)
Hazard Codes may be found in the "Advanced" version of Chemical Composition / Ingredients tables.

Precautionary Code
Precautionary Codes may be found in the "Advanced" version of Chemical Composition / Ingredients tables.PictogramSVHC is a substance (identified by the European Chemicals Agency) that may have serious and often irreversible effects on human health and the environment. SVHC are defined in Article 57 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (“the REACH Regulation”) and include substances which are:
SVHC?
1. Carcinogenic, Mutagenic or toxic to Reproduction (CMR), meeting the criteria for classification in category 1 or 2 in accordance with Directive 67/548/EEC or in category 1a or 1b in accordance with EC No 1272/2008This directive was recently replaced by the new EU regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
2. Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic (PBT) or very Persistent and very Bioaccumulative (vPvB) according to the criteria in Annex XIII of the REACH Regulation, or
3. Identified, on a case-by-case basis, from scientific evidence as causing probable serious effects to human health or the environment of an equivalent level of concern as those above (e.g. endocrine disrupters).Aluminum hydroxide 021645-51-2 244-492-7 1.0-5.0 -------- ------- ---- No Aminofunctional Siloxanes 067923-07-3 - 1.0-5.0 -------- ------- ---- Yes C13-14 isoparaffin 064742-47-8 265-149-8 <5-10 H304 ------- No Carnauba wax 008015-86-9 232-399-4 -- -------- ------- ---- No Dimethicone 063148-62-9 -- -- -------- ------- ---- No Kieselguhr 061790-53-2 -- 1.0-5.0 -------- ------- ---- No Naphtha, medium aliphatic 000000-44-9 -- <10-30 -------- ------- ---- No Petroleum distillates (JP5 Jet fuel) 008008-20-6 232-366-4 <5-10 H304 ------- No Stoddard solvent 008052-41-3 232-489-3 <10-30 H226, H304, H315, H372, H412 P102, P260, P262, P273, P301+P310, P331 No Click on each chemical for information on chemical structure, properties and health effects.

Warnings
Danger: Contains petroleum distillates. Avoid eye contact and prolonged skin contact. Keep away from heat sources, sparks and flames. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. For eye contact, wash thoroughly with water for 15 minutes. For skin contact, wash thoroughly with water. Call physician immediately. Keep out of reach of children. (Plastic bottle) -
Acute health effects
From MSDS;
Inhalation: Exposure to high concentrations of the solvent in this product may cause irritation to mucous membranes and central nervous system symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, weakness, headache, possible unconsciousness and asphyxiation.
Eye Contact: May cause transient irritation of the conjunctiva with excess tear production and blinking and reddening.
Skin Contact: May cause irritation seen as local redness and swelling with dryness and cracking of the skin. No evidence of adverse effects from skin absorption.
Ingestion: Ingestion of a small amount of this material, as would occur from an accidental ingestion, is expected to have little acute toxicity from absorption. Mucous membrane irritation, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea may occur. -
Chronic health effects
From MSDS:
Reports have associated repeated and prolonged overexposure to petroleum distillates with adverse liver, kidney, and bone marrow effects and with possible permanent brain and nervous system damage. Because of its irritating and defatting properties, this product may aggravate an existing skin condition. -
Carcinogenicity
None of the ingredients is listed as a carcinogen or potential carcinogen by OSHA, NTP, or IARC. Repetitive two-year direct skin application of middle distillates similar to the kerosene contained in this product resulted in skin cancer in laboratory animals. Petroleum hydrocarbons of similar composition and boiling ranges have been known to produce kidney damage and tumors in male rats following prolonged inhalation exposures. Kerosene products have been positive in mutagenic tests. -
