Potential Health Effects
Routes of Exposure: Eye, Skin contact, Skin absorption, Inhalation, Ingestion.
Eye Contact: May cause temporary irritation, tearing, and blurred vision. Mildly irritating, conjunctival redness clears by 24 hours.
Skin Contact: Can cause skin irritation. Can cause a burning or prickling sensation on more sensitive areas (face, eyes, mouth). Harmful if absorbed through the skin. Slight irritation at 72 hours.
Inhalation: Excessive inhalation may be irritating to the respiratory tract.
Ingestion: Harmful if swallowed.

Handling information
Take prudent precautions to avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing. Mechanical ventilation should be used when handling this product in enclosed spaces. Avoid breathing vapors or spray mists of this product. Wearing a respirator is not normally required when handling this product, but recommended in the absence of proper mechanical ventilation. Do not contaminate water, food or feedstuffs, by storage, handling or by disposale. Read and observe all precautions and instructions on the label. Store containers upright and closed. Store in areas that are cool, dry and well-ventilated. DO NOT allow product to exceed 160 deg F (71.1 deg C) as HYDROGEN CYANIDE GAS may be produced. Keep away from strong acids, bases and oxidizers. Emptied container may retain product residues.

First Aid
Eye Contact: Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.
Skin Contact: Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.
Inhalation: Remove affected person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably mouth-to-mouth if possible. Call a poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice.
Ingestion: Call a poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. DO NOT induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control center or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Notes to Physician: For skin effects, a highly efficient therapeutic agent for pyrethroid exposure is topical application of tocopherol acetate (Vitamin E). Diazepam has been recommended to reduce the CNS effects of Esfenvalerate.
General Advice: If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show the label where possible). Ensure that medical personnel are aware of the material(s) involved, and take precautions to protect themselves. Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance.
