Chemical Composition/Ingredients
The GHS is an acronym for The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals. The GHS is a system for standardizing and harmonizing the classification and labelling of chemicals. Chemicals are associated with codes that define their health, physical and environmental hazards. This universal hazard communication system was developed to ensure that employers, employees and consumers are provided with adequate, practical, reliable and comprehensible information on the hazards of chemicals, so that they can take effective preventive and protective measure for their own health and safety.
Advanced
The GHS classifications for chemicals associated with products in this database may be viewed by selecting the "Advanced" button on the Chemical Ingredients tables. Since this is a work in progress, GHS classifications may not be shown for all chemical ingredients.-
Primary Chemical Name is the standard name assigned to a chemical substance.
ChemicalChemical Abstracts Service Registry Number is a unique identifier for a chemical and its synonyms. CAS numbers identify the chemical, but not its concentration or specific mixture. CAS Registry Numbers are assigned by the Chemical Abstracts Service, a division of the American Chemical Society. For more information: www.cas.org

Since this is a work in progress, GHS classifications may not be shown for all chemical ingredients.Hazard Codes and their associated descriptions are an essential part of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). There are 4 categories of Hazard Codes:
- Physical Hazard Codes (H200 series)
- Health Hazard Codes (H300 series)
- Environmental Hazard Codes (H400 series)
- Supplementary Hazard Codes (EUH series)
Hazard Codes may be found in the "Advanced" version of Chemical Composition / Ingredients tables.

Precautionary Codes may be found in the "Advanced" version of Chemical Composition / Ingredients tables.PictogramSVHC is a substance (identified by the European Chemicals Agency) that may have serious and often irreversible effects on human health and the environment. SVHC are defined in Article 57 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (“the REACH Regulation”) and include substances which are:
SVHC?
1. Carcinogenic, Mutagenic or toxic to Reproduction (CMR), meeting the criteria for classification in category 1 or 2 in accordance with Directive 67/548/EEC or in category 1a or 1b in accordance with EC No 1272/2008This directive was recently replaced by the new EU regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
2. Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic (PBT) or very Persistent and very Bioaccumulative (vPvB) according to the criteria in Annex XIII of the REACH Regulation, or

Warnings
Contains sodium silicate. Avoid eye contact, flush with water for 15 minutes. Avoid prolonged skin contact, wash thoroughly with water. Call physician, emergency room, poison control center immediately. Keep out of reach of children. -
Acute health effects
From MSDS Inhalation: Breathing vapors or mists may cause irritation to the mucous membranes and to the respiratory tract, headache, dizziness and drowsiness. Skin Contact: Single or brief exposure is not expected to cause skin irritation. A component of this product, 2-butoxyethanol can penetrate skin readily, however, because of low concentrations in this product, toxicity resulting from skin absorption is unlikely unless contact is extensive or prolonged. Toxicity would be as is listed for a large ingestion. Eye Contact: May cause irritation with excess tearing, reddening and swelling of the conjunctiva. Ingestion: Ingestion of a small amount of this material, as would be expected from an accidental ingestion, is expected to have little acute systemic toxicity. Ingestion may cause irritation of the mouth, throat, and stomach with possible nausea, vomiting and abdominal discomfort. A very large ingestion could result in headache, dizziness, incoordination, general weakness and possible kidney and liver injury. Coma, metabolic acidosis and non-cardiogenic pulmonary edema have been described after massive ingestions. -
Chronic health effects
From MSDS Animals receiving repeated oral doses of 2-butoxyethanol, a component of this product, developed hemolytic anemia and secondary injury to the kidneys and liver. -
Carcinogenicity
From MSDS None of the ingredients is listed as a carcinogen or potential carcinogen by IARC, NTP or OSHA. No evidence of carcinogenicity exists from available information. This product does not contain chemicals regulated by the State of California under Proposition 65. -
Handling information
From MSDS Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes. Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with the skin and clothing. Avoid breathing vapors. Use with adequate ventilation. Wash exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after use. No special storage required. -
Disposal information
From MSDS Dispose in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
