First Aid Information For: Bonide Grass, Weed & Vegetation Killer-Old Product

EYES: Immediately rinse eyes with large amounts of running water for at least 15 minutes. Hold eyelids apart to rinse the entire surface of eye and lid. Get immediate medical attention. Do not apply any medicating agents except on the advice of a physician.
SKIN: Remove any contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Wash affected area with soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation develops.
INHALATION: Remove victim to fresh air. If breathing ha stopped, give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen, if available. If unconscious, seek immediate medical assistance.
INGESTION: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Immediately seek medical attention.
NOTES TO PHYSICIAN: There is no specific antidote for the active ingredient, prometon. Induction of emesis is NOT recommended due to the large amount of petroleum solvents, which could cause chemical pneumonitis if aspirated. Check for possible mucosal damage before beginning gastric lavage. If inhaled, observe for delayed onset of pulmonary edema. Treat central nervous system effects symptomatically. After lavage, 5 mg/kg activated charcoal suspension (50g/400 ml water) can be left in the stomach to absorb the remaining toxicant. Contamination of eyes may require specialized ophthalmologic attention.
